Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (18 : 30–07 : 00) – Every Other Weekend Required
Job Responsibilities :
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients across adult and critical care settings.Administer respiratory medications including bronchodilators, inhaled steroids, nitric oxide, inhaled Flolan, racemic epinephrine, ketamine (as applicable), lidocaine, and other respiratory agents per protocol.Set up and manage aerosol therapies, MDIs, nebulizers, trach collars, T-piece systems, and bag-mask oxygenation.Perform ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV, IMV, high-frequency jet ventilation, oscillator ventilation, and troubleshooting ventilator alarms.Conduct airway management procedures including extubation, oral / nasal airway placement, suctioning, sputum collection, tracheostomy care, and intubation assistance.Carry out ABG sampling, interpretation, and equipment operation needed for accurate respiratory analysis.Provide respiratory support for patients with ARDS, pneumonia, bronchoscopy cases, pulmonary conditions, ECMO, cystic fibrosis, and fresh tracheostomies.Utilize respiratory therapy protocols, pulmonary hygiene techniques, chest physiotherapy, and patient transport support.Float between hospital locations as needed; expected to provide care across several facilities.Accurately document in Epic EMR and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory services and rapid response teams.Required Skills & Experience :
Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience .Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – required.Active Florida Respiratory Care License – required at submission.BLS – required.ACLS – required.PALS – required.NRP – preferred.Epic charting experience – required.Proven competency in adult critical care and emergency department settings.Ability to manage ventilators, aerosol therapy, neonatal / pediatric respiratory interventions, and complex respiratory equipment.Experience with HFNC, CPAP / BiPAP, ET tubes, tracheostomy management, and interdepartmental patient transport.Previous teaching hospital experience preferred; community hospital experience required.No call required; must float between multiple facilities.First-time travelers accepted.About HonorVet Technologies
