POSITION SUMMARY

The Dauber Dept. Set-Up Mechanic is responsible for performing machine changeovers so that the machine operators can perform their jobs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Place requisitions for needed materials from the warehouse.
  • Perform machine changeovers.
  • Troubleshoot and make machine adjustments when issues arise.
  • Responsible for overall quality of the daubers, including length, cut of poly, and foot.
  • Discuss status of orders with operators and department supervisor.
  • Assist machine operators with adding wire to machines and general operation.
  • Sharpen blades on machines, and replace as needed.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of the department.
  • Other misc. duties as assigned.

    • SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Education :

    High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

    Experience :

    6+ months’ set-up experience in Manufacturing preferred.

    Computer Skills : N / A

    Other Requirements :

  • Must be LOTO Authorized.
  • Successful completion of at least 5 set-ups without assistance.
  • Dauber set-up verification for, procedure # 12.9.7 must be completed and signed off on by all parties to be deemed successful and count towards requirements stated above.
