Regional Operations Manager
The position plays a vital role in supporting the success of the region. The Regional Operations Manager will oversee facility management and business operations, serve as a key advisor to the Regional Director, and provide multidisciplinary expertise across regional functions. The role includes leading the Customer Service and Administrative Team, managing complex operating and facility budgets, and ensuring the continuity of essential administrative, safety, and emergency preparedness functions. Additionally, the role involves representing the agency on committees and workgroups, driving high-profile initiatives, and fostering a workplace culture that values collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the Regional Operations Manager will :
- Manage the day-to-day operations of regional administrative facilities to ensure their operational readiness.
- Oversee the overall management and operations of the regional headquarters facility and supporting operations at other regional properties.
- Serve as the project manager for regional facility short- and long-term project objectives, responsible for the entire project management lifecycle.
- Ensure efficient space utilization and adherence to modern work environment standards, coordinating access to office resources essential for employee productivity.
- Represent the region at the enterprise level with delegated authority to develop, oversee, and manage operational, administrative, and facility budgets.
- Lead project planning, budgeting, and contract management for regional facility maintenance, permitting, construction, engineering, and security services.
- Manage financial controls, including cash handling, petty cash reconciliation, and licensing account audits.
- Serve as the expert on the implementation of the Department's Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP).
- Establish facility security measures, respond to incidents, conduct and or facilitate investigations, and implement mitigation measures in coordination with the Regional Director to reduce future occurrences.
- Oversee facility security including building access and is the primary contact to respond to facility emergencies, security, and fire alarms 24 / 7.
- Collect and examine data to find areas to improve services, reduce expenses, and increase efficiencies.
- Provide guidance, influence, and direction related to standard operating procedures and policies.
