Job Description

Brown & Brown's Risk Solutions team, formerly known as Beecher Carlson, is looking for a Claims Advocate to join the Executive Liability Practice in New York, NY.

The Claims Advocate is responsible for managing all claims for assigned accounts. This includes overseeing, coordinating, and handling claims as needed on behalf of the client. The role involves collaborating with third parties and insurance carriers to gather information, resolve claim issues, and ensure proper claims administration procedures are clearly defined, implemented, and consistently followed. The Claims Advocate ensures all claims activities are conducted in alignment with established policies, procedures, and best practices. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to :

• Responsible for managing complex executive liability claims, including D&O, EPL, Cyber, E&O, Crime and Fiduciary
• Review and report claim(s) to carrier and excess carrier
• Works with brokers and attorneys to determine appropriate policy language
• Maintain effective working relationship with brokers, clients and carriers
• Keep current on common and statutory law and informs client as necessary
• Attend required training sessions, courses, etc. to develop and maintain up-to-date skills and product knowledge
• Maintain appropriate level of confidentiality of information processed
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Maintain appropriate state brokers licensing
• Other duties as assigned
