Base pay range

$60,000.00 / yr - $80,000.00 / yr

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join their finance team. The AP Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments, maintaining financial records, and supporting month-end close activities.

Title : Accounts Payable Specialist

Location : 4 days on-site in Wilton, CT

Salary : $60,000-$80,000 commensurate with experience

Responsibilities Of Accounts Payable Specialist

Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently in compliance with company policies and procedures

Verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

Ensure proper approvals and coding for all invoices

Schedule and prepare payments (check runs, ACH, wires)

Maintain and update vendor records and W-9 forms

Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong vendor relationships

Assist with monthly and year-end closing by providing supporting documentation

Support audits and provide necessary AP documentation

Collaborate with procurement and other departments to resolve purchase order / invoice issues

Maintain confidentiality of financial data and vendor information

Preferred Experience Of Accounts Payable Specialist

Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.

At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance / accounting role

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
