Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele adaptive acuity unit with required PCU experience and drip proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an adaptive acuity Med / Surg Tele unit with a 25-bed capacity
  • Patient ratios range from 1 : 5-7 in general, and 3 : 1 when providing PCU level care
  • Travelers must occasionally provide PCU care as required by unit needs
  • Care may include managing drips and higher acuity PCU patients
  • Floating to any inpatient unit within scope of practice is required
  • Travelers must not request more than 5 days of RTO; all RTO must be submitted prior to assignment and changes are not allowed
  • Holiday coverage will require working two major winter holidays and the weekend after as assigned
  • Candidates are required to float as necessary and must not refuse assignments within their practice scope
  • Block scheduling will not be considered for this position

    • Requirements

  • Active VT or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years current Med / Surg Tele experience required
  • At least 3 months of previous travel RN experience required
  • PCU experience is strongly required
  • Drip experience is required
  • ICU experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in small critical access facilities preferred
  • Must have own vehicle for assignment
