Job descriptionStroke Code Coverage : Respond promptly to stroke codes and perform NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and related assessments. Neurological Assessments : Conduct thorough neurological evaluations for assigned patients, including consults from other services. Inpatient Neurology Care : Manage a patient load of approximately 10-15 patients per night, including both primary and consult patients. Collaboration : Work closely with neurology residents and receive support from attending physicians available by phone. Documentation : Utilize Epic for all EMR documentation Certification : Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Licensure : Active and unrestricted state licensure required. Experience : Previous experience in neurology or inpatient care is preferred. Clinical Readiness : Capable of managing acute neurological conditions in an inpatient setting. No procedural responsibilities required. Team Player : Comfortable working alongside residents and within a multidisciplinary team.
