The Assistant Director is responsible for the strategic operational leadership of the Career Development department. The Assistant Director acts as an interdepartmental liaison, providing strategic and operational leadership, vision, analysis, and solutions to meet the university's strategic Career Development goals. The Assistant Director is also responsible for leading the assessment, development, and implementation of strategic change management when necessary to improve department efficiency and effectiveness.
Assistant Directors are self-motivated, able to work independently, and have exceptional communication, leadership, operational, and organizational skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Behave as a Full Sail University ambassador and embrace our unique educational model, while maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, customer service, and compliance.
- Contribute to long-term institutional Career Journey / Preparedness strategic planning.
- Lead cross-departmental teams focused on institutional Career Journey / Preparedness strategic objectives, services offered, communication mapping, and outcomes.
- Identify, develop, assess, and iterate new and / or existing institutional Career Journey / Preparedness projects, processes, and workflow.
- Work closely with Career Development leadership, Marketing, and IMT department to streamline workflow and develop new Career Journey milestone mapping within Full Sail University customer relationship management system (CRM).
- Conduct analysis to identify insights, trends, and opportunities related to optimal student & graduate Career Preparedness counseling. Translate insights into strategies designed to deliver meaningful results with direct impact on departmental key performance indicators.
- Establish positive working relationships with all stakeholders to clarify intent, proactively identify potential problems, manage risk, suggest changes, and clearly explain business impacts.
- Directly supervise and develop Senior Operations Manager, Marketing Manager, and Data team.
- Assist in additional initiatives on behalf of Full Sail University as needed.

Facilitate and lead meetings to deliver information, processes, and analysis in well-organized manner.Partner with Alumni Relations, Career Development, Graduate Success, and Industry Outreach staff to plan and execute strategic training activities as needed.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.Supervisory Responsibilities : Yes

Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
