Axel Fiber is a growing fiber optic infrastructure company contracted with major ISPs, including Google Fiber. We specialize in underground construction, splicing, and installation of fiber networks to bring high-speed internet to communities. We’re looking for motivated technicians who are ready to learn, work hard, and grow with us.
Responsibilities
Perform fiber optic cable installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
Place conduit, handholes, and fiber drops to residential and commercial locations.
Read and follow construction maps, blueprints, and work orders.
Operate and maintain equipment (fusion splicer, OTDR, power meter, hand tools, etc.).
Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality requirements.
Communicate with supervisors and teammates to complete daily tasks efficiently.
Requirements
Previous experience in fiber optics, telecom, or low-voltage wiring is preferred but not required — training available.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors, and handle physically demanding tasks.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction practices.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Competitive hourly or production-based pay ($30–$40 / hr depending on skills & performance).
Average earnings : $1,200–$1,600 / week for full-time techs .
Paid weekly via direct deposit.
