Description :

A CVICU RN is dedicated to the care of critically ill patients with heart and vascular issues.

They thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

They deliver advanced medical care to those with severe cardiovascular conditions.

Requirements include :

Daily patient ratios are 2 : 1.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Patient diagnoses include recovery of heart patients and neurological ICU patients.

Special procedures require advanced skills such as central line management, ventilator management, and the administration of medication drips.

Candidates must have experience with various equipment and procedures relevant to critical care nursing.

This position involves working with adult and geriatric patients.

The daily census averages between 16 and 20 patients.

The unit comprises 24 beds and provides care for patients in need of critical cardiovascular intervention.

Compliance with facility policies and procedures is expected.

Candidates should be prepared for potential lab work within a designated timeframe.

All certifications must be AHA and valid at the time of application.
