Work Responsibilities

This position will be on-site, working Monday-Friday, 7am 3 : 30pm EST.

Unload and receive (check-in) incoming shipments of materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders.

Inspect and sort received products for quality and accuracy, communicating any discrepancies or damages with team members and department leaders.

Prepare and maintain accurate records of received shipments.

Stage inbound materials / gaylords to designated areas for further processing.

Fulfill customer orders Direct-to-consumer, business-to-business, and merchandising through picking, packing, and shipping.

Perform a final inspection of product's outer carton to ensure customer satisfaction.

Validate shipment quantities, stack product in accordance to standards, adhere placards, weigh, and wrap pallets to prepare shipments.

Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items based on established schedules and priorities.

Physically verify the quantity, condition, and location of items in stock.

Accurately record inventory counts and adjustments into the inventory management system or relevant software.

Load trucks and assign trips for outbound shipments, transfers and customer orders.

Ensure orders packed and ready-to-ship are picked up daily.

Manage bulk scrap Load cardboard bales and scrap gaylords for disposal. Empty trash hoppers.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing job responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

High school diploma or GED required.

2+ years of previous experience in shipping / receiving, warehousing, or inventory management and knowledge of inventory control principles and practices.

Proficiency with computer systems and basic software applications.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Required to follow standard work and work instructions.

Physical Requirements

Ability to become power industrial vehicle certified within 30 days of hire.

Ability to become certified and operate the straight box truck (no CDL required) within 30 days of hire.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and crouch.

Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods.

Depending on the organization's needs, there may be occasional overtime or holiday / weekend work during peak inventory periods.
