About The Position

About the Role :

A hospital of Richmond is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Neurovascular Surgery to cover a maternity leave. This hospital-based role involves collaborating with a team of three neurosurgeons in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

🩺 Diagnose and treat illnesses related to neurovascular care

🧪 Order, interpret tests, and write prescriptions

📋 Coordinate patient care and follow-up

🚨 First responder to any code stroke alerts within the facility

👩‍⚕️ Work under supervising physician guidance (available by phone / on-site)

Job Requirements

✅ Current Virginia NP license (Active & in good standing)

🎓 Board certification : AANP required

🚑 ACLS & ENLS certifications required

🧠 Previous neurovascular experience highly preferred (minimal training preferred; no new grads)

🌙 Ability to work rotating day / night shifts including weekends

🤝 Excellent communication and teamwork skills
