The RN assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. The Med-Surg RN works collaboratively with physicians, healthcare team members, and families to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities : Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Perform physical assessments and obtain patient histories. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and coordinate individualized care plans. Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes, treatments, and post-discharge care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Operate and monitor medical equipment safely and effectively. Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions. Support a culture of safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice. Qualifications : Education : Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Licensure : Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
