As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to all personnel and visitors. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate : $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and manage access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to support access control procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and / or delivery personnel with security-related inquiries and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and client site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to observe for suspicious activity and / or security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual situations according to established protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or access for first responders as required by site procedures.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
  • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
