Associate's degree and one to two years' related experience requiredCertification by Vermont Criminal Justice Training Council within probationary period requiredPhysical examination, written examination, psychological evaluation, and background investigation required pursuant to Rule 32 of Vermont Criminal Justice Training CouncilValid driver's license or ability to obtain, and driver's check requiredAbility to communicate effectively with people; physically restrain a suspect; run up / down several flights of stairs and up to 100 yards; stand for long periods of time; walk for several hours while on patrol; drive emergency response vehicleAbility to hear radio and telephone communications at both high and low decibelsGood vision neededAnticipated Pay Range : See Step Plan
