Responsible for the appearance / cleanliness of the Washington Hospital Center. Cleans public staff and out-patient areas.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleans common areas of MedStar Washington Hospital center to include restrooms (staff and public) waiting rooms hospital entrances corridors elevators and landings stairwells staff locker rooms offices conference rooms etc.; This activity includes but is not limited to pulling trash high and low dusting wiping exposed surfaces replenishing appropriate supplies dry and wet mopping spot cleaning walls and vacuuming.
• Performs; cleaning and changing mats washing windows; washing and re-hanging cubical window curtains and vertical blinds; scraping residual paint from fixtures / equipment; and moving equipment furniture supplies / boxes etc.
• Stocks cleaning cart and / or supply closet(s). May mix cleaning solutions from concentrated issue.
• Reports deficiencies in patient rooms and throughout WHC to shift supervisor and / or facilitates management for action.
