Director of Data Science

A company is looking for a Director of Data Science to lead their data science team and modeling strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the data science team in developing and deploying advanced machine learning models for credit risk, fraud, pricing, and operations

Oversee the entire model development lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into applications

Build and mentor a high-performing team while managing the planning, budgeting, and execution of the Data Science function

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data science with a focus on credit risk modeling

4+ years of leadership experience managing data scientists or machine learning engineers

Proficient in building machine learning models using statistical methods and advanced techniques

Bachelor's degree in Financial / Applied Math, Operations Research, Economics, or Statistics; advanced degrees preferred

Proficient in Python, SQL, and Git, with experience in cloud platform model deployment
