\n\nJob Description\n

The Labor and Delivery unit is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. The unit handles a significant number of births and admissions, operating with a patient ratio of 1 : 2. The ideal candidate will have experience in intrapartum and high-risk antepartum care.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Provide nursing care to obstetrical patients, ensuring high-quality and patient-centered care.

    • \n

  • Perform sterile vaginal exams and manage pain assessment & management.

    • \n

  • Circulate for C-sections and assist in emergency situations as needed.

    • \n

  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members for comprehensive patient management.

    • \n

  • Float to other maternity care high-risk OB unit areas as required.

    • \n

  • Participate in precepting or orienting new staff members.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; 3 years preferred.

    • \n

  • Experience in large, high-volume settings is mandatory.

    • \n

  • Certifications : BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP required.

    • \n

  • Preferred skills in circulating for C-sections and complex obstetrical procedures.
