Key Responsibilities :

• Evaluation and Diagnosis : Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to understand each child’s emotional, developmental, behavioral, and social needs, while maintaining sensitivity to cultural values and community norms.
• Treatment Planning : Develop individualized treatment plans that may include individual therapy, family therapy, or group therapy, with an emphasis on evidence-based interventions and approaches that respect cultural and religious practices.
• Therapeutic Interventions : Provide psychotherapy to children and adolescents, supporting their emotional well-being, resilience, and coping skills. Offer family guidance to help parents and caregivers support their child’s growth and progress.
• Collaboration : Work closely with parents, schools (including yeshivas), pediatricians, rabbis, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and strong communication within the child’s support system.
• Advocacy : Act as an advocate for the child’s mental health, educational, and developmental needs, helping families navigate school accommodations, community resources, and healthcare systems.
• Consultation : Offer expert consultation to schools, social services, and community organizations regarding child and adolescent mental health issues, ensuring recommendations are both clinically sound and culturally appropriate.
