Job descriptionInspect painted surfaces and finishes regularly to ensure quality and identify areas needing repair. Support property-wide initiatives to maintain high standards of appearance and presentation. Collaborate with the maintenance team to coordinate work while minimizing guest disruption. Follow all OSHA, fire, and safety regulations while performing work. Maintain knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and participate in safety drills. Ensure workspaces, equipment, and materials comply with health and safety standards. Minimum 3 years of experience in painting and finishing work, preferably in hospitality or commercial settings. Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools, including spray, brush, and roller applications. Skilled in drywall repair, patching, sanding, and finishing. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including weekends or holidays. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds without assistance. Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, and bending throughout the shift. Comfortable working at various heights and in confined spaces. Visual acuity to detect surface imperfections and perform precision painting. Manual dexterity for using hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Palm House is seeking a skilled and dependable Painter to join our Maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance and quality of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas through expert painting and finishing work. The ideal candidate will have strong technical painting skills, attention to detail, and experience delivering high-quality results in a hospitality or commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Painting & Finishing
- Perform all aspects of painting, including surface preparation, priming, patching, sanding, and finishing.
- Match paints and finishes to maintain uniform appearance across rooms and public areas.
- Repair drywall, baseboards, and wall or ceiling moldings.
- Perform touch-ups and high-quality finishes that meet Palm House standards.
- Maintain brushes, rollers, tools, and painting materials in good condition for consistent results.
