Position Overview

At Zelis, the Senior C# Backend Software Engineer will focus on developing information technology-enabled business solutions that are both scalable and reliable. The Senior Software Engineer will perform and execute all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle including Analysis, Design, Development, and Testing while working in a highly collaborative team environment.

Join our team as a Senior C# Backend Software Engineer, where you’ll help lead initiatives for continuous improvement, mentor junior engineers, and drive strategies that enhance overall team performance.

What You’ll do :

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems using best practices and industry standards.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Work closely with product management, quality assurance, and operations teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns.
• Participate in team meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Identify and troubleshoot software defects and issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to resolve problems.
• Continuously improve software performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify and resolve defects.
• Ensure that software meets functional and non-functional requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software engineering.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, providing guidance and sharing knowledge.

Location and Workplace Flexibility

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

Base Salary Range

$115,000.00 - $153,000.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
