Position Summary Information

Key Responsibilities

The Science in Motion outreach program at Juniata College is seeking an Outreach Equipment Courier. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Coordinate and implement current outreach program deliveries (on- and off-campus)
• Management and creation of delivery and pick-up schedules
• Communicate continuously with Outreach Coordinators and their teachers during deliveries
• Management of Quality Control check and balances
• Purchase special lab supplies needed for deliveries
• Additional responsibilities may include (and not be limited to) : on-campus mail collection, new outreach initiatives, creating a participating school calendar of closings and detailing SIM vehicles.

The Outreach Equipment Courier is a full-time time 10-month position (September 01- June 30) with benefits and annual renewal based upon performance and funding.

Position Qualifications

Juniata employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and clearances pursuant to Act 153. Valid driver's license required, clear of major violations. Juniata College reserves the right to review driving records to determine suitability for position.

Supervision Required / Given

The Outreach Equipment Courier reports directly to the Outreach Director who oversees outreach programs and activities.

Preferred Qualifications

Physical Demands

Continual physical activity : unload and reload vehicle, push / pull loaded carts, usually lift up to 20-lbs and sometimes up to 50-lbs.
