Job Overview
Under the direction of the Design Engineering Manager, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will be tasked with the design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of electrical switching and control equipment.

A Day In The Life
The following roles and responsibilities will be required to fulfil the position:
- Participate in cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to design and develop new contactors and other electromechancial equipment, ensuring they meet industry standards and specifications.
- Create and maintain 3D solid models, design layouts, and production drawings using CAD tools.
- Create prototypes of new designs to test functionality and performance, making necessary adjustments based on testing results.
- Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and engineering reports.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure components can be produced efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Five years of work experience related to the design and maintenance of electromechanical equipment such as contactors, switchgear, or other high powered control equipment.
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems and their integration.
- Experience with 2D/3D CAD design tools; familiarity with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD desired.
- Strong organizational skills in project planning, design, and quality control.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.

- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering
