Audit Intern

Northwest Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Audit Intern to join our Internal Audit team for Summer 2026. This internship provides hands-on experience in auditing processes, risk assessments, and internal control evaluations across various departments within the bank.

Assist in planning and executing internal audit engagements under the supervision of audit professionals.

Perform testing of internal controls and document audit findings.

Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, or areas of risk.

Support the preparation of audit reports and presentations for management.

Participate in walkthroughs and interviews with business units to understand processes and controls.

Help ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Contribute to special projects related to risk mitigation, fraud prevention, or process improvement.

Assist in audit department support functions (board reporting, quality assurance, training development).

Assist in the development of the annual audit plan.

Networking and potential for future employment within Northwest Bank.

Real-world experience in internal audit and risk assessment.
