Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) services is needed to support K-12 students across seven intermediate schools within an itinerant role based in Fort Worth, TX. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible, with an anticipated start date of June 11, 2026, and continues through the current school year (CSY). The position requires onsite presence, as virtual or remote services will not be provided.
Key responsibilities include delivering pull-out instruction tailored to students with hearing impairments, training students on the use of their assistive technology equipment, advocating for student needs, and ensuring acmodations are consistently enforced in collaboration with classroom teachers. Active participation in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and evaluation (EVAL) sessions is essential. The role also includes coverage of a full-time maternity leave from November to March for an elementary campus DHH position.
