If you are a skilled Service Desk On-Site Technician with great customer service, we have a spot for you. You would be responsible for providing technical assistance for our clients; support related to computer systems, hardware, or software, and cloud technology (primarily Office 365 and other Office Products) – but it’s all about the people you would be helping. If providing the white glove quality service with excellent customer service while also gaining knowledge of all things IT related is something you thrive on, this is the role for you. You’ll respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and determine and implement solutions, as well as other duties as assigned. Must live within 30 minutes of West Los Angeles. (Client is based in the UCLA area). THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION. Must have Help-Desk experience.

Pay range : $26.00 - $34.00 per hour

Summary of duties and responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks) :

1. Responsible for supporting end-users onsite for our corporate users. Function as first-level support but this is not an entry level position

2. Manage client's IT infrastructure including Servers, Workstations, and mobile devices. Adhere to and implement security policies, user on-boarding and off-boarding.

3. Identify, research, and resolve support tickets using Support tools and processes.

4. Escalate issues, when necessary, within departmental guidelines and processes for resolution.

5. Maintain and support client operating systems and end-user software using remote administration tools.

6. Maintain, update, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer, network, and printing systems / hardware.

7. Able to create and maintain procedures, documentation, and reports. Detailed records are vital.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) :

  • Experience with Microsoft 365, desktop and servers, Active Directory, and Azure environments.
  • Networking - TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, IPSEC, and SSL VPN, Firewalls, and Wireless networks.
  • Knowledge of backup, replication, and monitoring solutions.
  • Experience in troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, independently, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What will give you a competitive edge ( qualifications) :

  • Certifications or experience with products from VMware, FortiGate, Microsoft, and Cisco.
  • Experience with TrendMicro, Veeam, Google Apps, and Apple products.
  • Knowledge working for an MSP with remote monitoring and management tools.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of IT solutions to fit the client needs.
  • Experience in managing Azure Infrastructures, SQL instances, and Azure virtual machines.
  • Experience with on-site end user support.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Stand / sit / walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift / push / pull 40 lbs.
