Job description

PARAMEDIC

Starting Salary : $53,823.08 / year with experience considered

Join our team as a Paramedic committed to providing compassionate, high-quality medical assistance and advanced patient care.

This full-time position operates on a 48 on / 96 off shift rotation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate each emergency call to determine the best course of action in accordance with advanced Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize Paramedic skills with medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction apparatus, and IV fluids to deliver exceptional medical care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to reassure them of the care provided.
  • Lead the Paramedic team and manage the scene and unit as required.
  • Safely operate the ambulance during emergency responses.
  • Collaborate professionally with all healthcare and public safety personnel, as well as fellow Paramedics.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Engage in community outreach programs to enhance AMR's image and foster positive community relations.

    • Minimum Required Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • NREMT-P certification.
  • Kansas Paramedic certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire; PALS preferred but not mandatory.
  • Driving record must comply with company policy.
  • Successful completion of the Physical Agility Test.
  • Some relevant work experience, preferably in healthcare.
