Job Summary

Responsible for assisting the cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular interventions on adult patients.

Candidate must be focused on high quality patient centered care through assessment and management of cardiac patients with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Registered nurse will be able to circulate, monitor and / or scrub diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as some pre and post care.

Performs all activities in accordance with approved policies and guides. Supervises and delegates appropriate duties to ancillary personnel

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

Documents patient care given.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

Employee supervises others.

Assists with orientation and training of others as directed.

Demonstrates a working knowledge of Infection Control Policies and Procedures. Use proper telephone etiquette.

Remains knowledgeable of areas of high regulatory risk that impacts job duties.

Adheres to code of conduct and compliance policy especially high risk areas of confidentiality, coding / documentation, conflict of interest, and timekeeping.

Other duties as assigned by manager.

Participates in patient rounding.

Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state and local requirements and the TIC standards and or standards from other accrediting bodies.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Nursing required

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required

ACLS required within 3 months of hire

Licenses : Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).

1-3 years experience in a Cath Lab preferred

Ability to perform 2 or more roles (Monitor, Scrub, and / or Circulate) within the Cath Lab Department.

Prior Cath Lab Experience.

Our standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM
