Each year 40000 people in the U.S. die from gun violence. We can change that. No organization has a more comprehensive and systematic approach to ending Americas gun violence epidemic. They say it cant be done. But we know Americans can do anything. Even end this epidemic of gun violence. For we are more powerful than any problem when we work as one. Now is the time to unite people from coast to coast young and old liberal and conservative fed up and fired up and free our country from what is killing us. Its in our hands.

Job Summary :

The Organizing Intern will support the daily functions of the organizing team at Brady. The Organizing intern will assist all aspects of Bradys grassroots organizing efforts including interacting with chapter members planning rallies and events supporting Team ENOUGH efforts and researching pending legislative priorities that need grassroots support. Working closely with the entire organizing team the best candidate will be flexible enthusiastic and passionate about gun violence prevention.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Research on various topics including legislation and policies

Write summaries on issues

Blog posts on chapters websites

Assist with social media posts and messaging

Draft talking points for legislation and / or issues

Communicate with activists

Assist in planning events (virtual)

Skills and Experience :

Strong writing skills including precise grammar punctuation and spelling

Ability to work well under pressure within a fast-paced high-performing team

Strong desire to be a key team contributor

Self-motivated creative dependable and accountable.

Available to work between 1530 hours per week during our standard office hours (MondayFriday 9 : 00 a.m.5 : 00 p.m. ET). We have a strong preference for interns who can work in personin our DC office at least once per week.
