Procurement Buyer / Planner
Location : On-Site for training in Ennis, TX, then hybrid with up to 3 days remote
Salary Range : $80-90k + 10% Bonus + 6% Equity
- We have functions split between sourcing / pricing and buying / planning. This is on the buyer side. Candidates interested in pricing negotiations would not excel in this role.
What You Will Do
Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production material as required by forecast and the production schedule.Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problemsExpedite or defer orders as required based on schedule / inventory changesMaintain optimal inventory levels based on forecast, demand variation and material lead timesCoordinate material flows throughout product / BOM changes, obsolescence, and the introduction of new suppliers and / or materials due to new product developmentManage the inter-company flow of materials between warehouse locationsManage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality problems with suppliersHow You Will Make An Impact
Provide back-up support for supply chain functions including shipping, receiving, material handling and other duties as assignedSetup & maintain material master system planning parameters (MOQ, lead time, safety stocks)Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply optionsEffectively communicate via email, phone call, Microsoft Teams video meetings, etc. with inside teams as well as outside suppliersContinuous training and information sharing in ERP systemEnsure and promote compliance to Company and Procurement policies and proceduresWhat You Will Bring
BS / BA in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics (required)3-5 years of experience in a buyer / planner / material scheduler role working for a direct manufacturer (required)Microsoft Dynamics D365 experience (preferred)Expert applied knowledge of forecasting, MRP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management and warehousing disciplinesPossess a foundational understanding of manufacturing processProficient with MS Office suite – advanced skills with MS ExcelStrong sense of urgency & attention to detailExcellent organization, communication and follow-up skillsAble to influence others & manage conflictAbility to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situationsExtremely high standards of excellenceAnalytical with a methodical approach to problem solvingExperience establishing and employing demand-pull material planning metho
