We are seeking a Director Value-Based Care (VBC) to join our team at Independent Living Systems (ILS). ILS, along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations.

About the Role :

The Director of Value-Based Care (VBC) Partnerships plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization's strategic objectives by developing and managing collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, payers, and other key stakeholders. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing value-based care programs that improve member outcomes while controlling costs. The Director will lead cross-functional teams to negotiate contracts, analyze performance metrics, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. By leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices, this role drives innovation in care delivery models that align incentives across the healthcare continuum. Ultimately, the Director will contribute to the organization's mission of delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare services through sustainable partnerships and value-based initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare, with at least 3 years in value-based care program management or partnership development.
  • Proven experience negotiating and managing complex contracts within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare payment models, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial value-based arrangements.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze healthcare data and use insights to drive program improvements.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration (MBA), Public Health, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), or similar entities.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Certification in healthcare quality or value-based care programs (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality).
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute value-based care partnership arrangements that align with organizational goals
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and prioritize partnership opportunities
  • Lead negotiations and contract development with potential partners
  • Manage ongoing relationships with key partners, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met
  • Monitor and report on partnership performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
