About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Chief Actuary Officer to provide strategic direction and leadership for its actuarial function. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team in pricing, reserving, and analytics, and will play a key role in the development and execution of strategic plans to achieve business objectives. This includes adapting and developing rating methodologies, leading the completion of rate reviews, and providing insights into company, economic, and marketplace trends. The role also involves leading the vision and implementation of advanced analytics, as well as maintaining actuarial policies and standards in line with regulatory and corporate requirements.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, be a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, and demonstrate a commitment to continuing education. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and a basic understanding of SQL. Experience with actuarial or analytics software such as R, Python, and Tableau is highly desired. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in talent development, be adept at managing projects, and have a strong customer orientation. Responsibilities also include participating in enterprise risk management initiatives and leading the actuarial team in the preparation of loss and expense reserve estimates.
