Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager who has at least 2-4 Years of experience in the site work / civil construction industry and / or municipal projects

Responsibilities :

  • Project Management : Oversee and manage all aspects of grading and landscape construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Plan Interpretation : Accurately read and interpret landscape design plans and specifications to ensure precise implementation.
  • Equipment Operation : Operate full-sized excavators and other earth-moving equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Team Leadership : Lead, coordinate, and supervise project teams, including subcontractors and laborers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Client Liaison : Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Control : Conduct regular site inspections and enforce quality control measures to ensure all work meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Budget Management : Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures where appropriate.
  • Safety Compliance : Ensure all project activities comply with company policies and legal regulations regarding safety and environmental standards.
  • Reporting : Prepare detailed reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will possess the following skill set :

  • Proven experience in grading, landscape construction, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in operating full-sized excavators and other heavy construction equipment.
  • Strong understanding of landscape design and construction principles.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and documents.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safety and knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Valid Drivers license and must be insurable;
  • Willingness to interact with client and make oneself available to them;
  • Bi-lingual a plus.
