Grading & Landscape Construction Project Manager (Decatur)

Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager who has at least 2-4 Years of experience in the site work / civil construction industry and / or municipal projects

Responsibilities :

• Project Management : Oversee and manage all aspects of grading and landscape construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Plan Interpretation : Accurately read and interpret landscape design plans and specifications to ensure precise implementation.
• Equipment Operation : Operate full-sized excavators and other earth-moving equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Team Leadership : Lead, coordinate, and supervise project teams, including subcontractors and laborers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Client Liaison : Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Quality Control : Conduct regular site inspections and enforce quality control measures to ensure all work meets or exceeds expectations.
• Budget Management : Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures where appropriate.
• Safety Compliance : Ensure all project activities comply with company policies and legal regulations regarding safety and environmental standards.
• Reporting : Prepare detailed reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will possess the following skill set :

Proven experience in grading, landscape construction, or a related field.

Proficiency in operating full-sized excavators and other heavy construction equipment.

Strong understanding of landscape design and construction principles.

Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and documents.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A commitment to safety and knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.

Valid Drivers license and must be insurable;

Willingness to interact with client and make oneself available to them;

Bi-lingual a plus.
