About The Position

Job Title : Acute Care Social Worker

Profession : Behavioral Health

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days, M-F

Hours per Shift : 40

Experience : Minimum 1 year in a hospital or healthcare setting

License : State license at Master’s level required or eligibility

Certifications : Valid driver’s license required

Must-Have :

• MSW (Master of Social Work) from an accredited school of Social Work
• Basic knowledge of computer use
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write at the college level
• Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and group situations
• Ability to perform supervisory tasks when supervisor is unavailable
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Description :

Uses a holistic approach in providing medical social services to patients and their families.

Assists in solving or ameliorating physical, social, emotional, and environmental problems.

Aims to help patients attain or retain optimum health.

Social services are provided to individuals of all ages, from intra-uterine through elderly.

Prefer experience working in a cross-cultural setting with bilingual language skills in English and Yup'ik.

Must possess the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Knowledge of computing rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as drawing and interpreting bar graphs, is essential.
