We are seeking a Data Migration Expert to join our team. This role will involve planning, managing, and executing end-to-end data migration activities across healthcare EMR systems, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and seamless system transitions. The ideal candidate will have experience in eCW EMR, ELLKAY, athena EMR, and healthcare data migration best practices , and a passion for streamlining healthcare data operations and enabling accurate, efficient patient data management .

Job Description :

As a Data Migration Expert , you will be responsible for leading the full lifecycle of data migration initiatives, from planning and mapping to extraction, transformation, validation, and loading into target EMR systems. The Data Migration Expert will work closely with clinical, technical, and project teams to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance throughout the migration process.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead end-to-end data migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration support.

Work with EMR systems such as eCW, ELLKAY, and athena to extract, transform, and load (ETL) patient and operational data.

Ensure data quality, integrity, and completeness across migration activities.

Develop and execute data migration plans, including mapping specifications, scripts, and validation protocols.

Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to define requirements and resolve migration-related issues.

Perform testing and verification to ensure migrated data is accurate and meets organizational standards.

Document migration processes, methodologies, and outcomes for compliance and audit purposes.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within data migration workflows.

Train and mentor junior team members on best practices in EMR data migration.

Coordinate with project managers to ensure migration activities are aligned with project timelines and deliverables.

The Data Migration Expert will play a pivotal role in enabling seamless system transitions, improving data reliability, and supporting healthcare operations through efficient, accurate, and secure data migration practices. The Data Migration Expert will also contribute to process optimization, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership within the data migration team.
