Construction Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Superintendent to manage day-to-day on-site operations for commercial projects. The role involves coordinating and supervising subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding in commercial construction and a proven ability to lead field operations effectively, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day on-site construction operations for commercial projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project schedules and adjust work as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to design.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Lead site meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized job site.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building systems, codes, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in construction management or related field preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 / yr. 401k, health, dental, vision, a lot of room for growth, guaranteed work year round.

    Workplace Type

    This is a fully onsite position in Newton, MA.
