Job description

We are seeking a Senior DeltaV Controls Engineer to lead automation projects in the Life Sciences and pharmaceutical industry in Raleigh North Carolina. This role focuses on Emerson DeltaV systems cGMP-compliant solutions and full project lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead design implementation and commissioning of DeltaV control systems for capital projects
Develop batch sequencing phase logic and recipes following ISA-88 standards
Design high-performance HMIs with DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate using ISA-101 guidelines
Integrate third-party equipment using OPC UA Ethernet / IP Modbus and Foundation Fieldbus
Manage project schedules budgets resources FAT and SAT
Ensure compliance with GAMP5 cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
Travel up to 25 percent for on-site support and commissioning

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Electrical Control Systems Chemical Engineering or related field

8 to 15 years of Life Sciences automation experience with DeltaV systems

Strong knowledge of ISA-88 batch control ISA-101 HMI design and class-based configuration

Experience with industrial networking electrical design and automation protocols

Excellent leadership communication and project management skills

Preferred

Experience with Rockwell Siemens PCS7 or Ignition

Knowledge of historian solutions alarm management and advanced analytics

DeltaV or project management certifications
