Farr 3 is a 24-bed inpatient medical-surgical unit at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. Within this environment, the Patient Care Technician (PCT) is an essential member of the nursing care team, contributing directly to both patient safety and positive clinical outcomes. The PCT supports the unit by :
Providing direct patient care through accurate measurement and documentation of vital signs, intake / output, and other clinical data in the electronic health record.
Collaborating with the nursing staff and fellow PCTs to create and implement team-based care plans that are responsive to individual patient needs as well as unit priorities.
Promoting quality and safety initiatives, including fall prevention, infection control practices, and patient comfort measures, which align with BIDMC's standards for excellence.
Enhancing the patient and family experience through attentive communication, responsiveness, and compassionate care.
By combining technical skills with teamwork, communication, and a strong commitment to safety, the PCT plays a vital role in fostering a supportive care environment and ensuring that patients on Farr 3 receive the highest standard of care.

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
