Chances are you’re subscribed to a good or service and chances are higher you’ve seen their terrible cancellation workflow and retention pitches. What if there was a way to have the best experience for both the business and the subscriber? The answer is Renumerate and we’re looking for a senior founding engineer to be part of that journey.

What will you do?

As a founding engineer you’ll work across the stack, helping build a modern, fast-moving Rust + React product with real user impact. In collaboration with our co-founders and design team, you’ll be partnering Machine Learning / AI to drive automated insights with designs to give businesses a tool to experiment and understand subscribers in order to create engaging, simple and intuitive workflows.

We're moving fast already, and you’ll help increase product velocity, ship new features quickly, and improve the underlying platform. Whether building back-end infrastructure, experimenting with retention offers, or fine-tuning user experience, you’ll play an important role in shaping the future of our product.

You’ll also shape our roadmap, engineering culture, and tech foundations. Our stack today is Rust, React, and PostgreSQL, and we’re exploring how to layer in insight models and strategy automation using constrained AI. This is an exceptional opportunity for anyone that wants to work across the stack and learn from a prolific founder and passable engineering lead (p.s. What have you done?

Any mix of the following can help shape an amazing candidate, but we know that no role has one single persona set up for success. If you love learning, love building and love to grow and take ownership then you’ll likely be able to have an impact even if you haven’t done all of these. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience working on complex full-stack web applications and that has had a chance to work in multiple roles, environments and teams. You might be a great fit if you have :

• Built products from scratch on the web, mobile or backend
• Made tradeoffs between shipping fast, experimenting and building platforms
• Worked with or around AI, machine learning and LLMs
• Built products that incorporate e-commerce, subscription management, or payments technologies
• Deployed to a cloud platform
• Grown comfortable in a terminal
• Worked with amazing teams, are self motivated, and accountable
• Tried to launch your own startup
• Cared deeply about the user experience and attention to detail
• Talked to a customer before, whether as part of support, sales or research

The Pay Range For This Role Is 150,000 - 225,000 USD per year (HQ)
