About The Position

Description :

The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team.

Responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process.

Will assess patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques.

Will obtain past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests.

Involved in the planning and implementation of a written care plan under the direction of a physician.

All RN positions require successful completion from an approved School of Nursing.

A current, valid Registered Nurse License is required.

All RNs must perform essential job functions and meet qualifications listed.

Registered Nurses working in specialty areas must meet requirements for those specialties.

Perform standard assessments using basic equipment.

Demonstrate visual acuity and hand-eye coordination for medication administration.

Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Able to meet standards of job analysis for patient safety.

Interact positively with team members and patients.

Respect patients' culture, lifestyle, religion, and age when planning or implementing care.

Accept constructive criticism and manage emotional reactions positively.

Clinical experience is preferred.

Membership in a professional nursing organization and certification in specialty is preferred.
