Description : Job Summary :
A Senior Quality Engineer assists the Chief Quality Officer with industrial electro-mechanical products during and after development is completed and when they are actively in production. The Senior Quality Engineer helps engineering and quality teams understand how to leverage current quality assurance capabilities to streamline the inventory storage management, inspection, and nonconforming material processes related to current and new product design. The Senior Quality Engineer may also help cross functional teams to resolve any technical and product specific quality issues that arise internally or in customer use of the product, including advanced manufacturing technologies needed to maintain part and product quality. A Senior Quality Engineer continuously improves quality engineering processes and the quality of the products produced.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborates to troubleshoot and resolve new or reoccurring quality issues of technical products
- Research quality assurance techniques to support assigned quality engineering projects
- Develops technical quality assurance expertise in all Quality team members on all products including optics, structures, mechanics and electronics
- Improves quality assurance test protocols, documented policies / procedures / work instructions, and fixturing
- Provides Design For Quality (DFQ) assurance feedback to engineering and development teams
- Participates as a member of technical review boards for applicable projects
- Creates Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and processes them into Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
- Understands and conducts work practices in compliance with current quality standards
- Works closely with Quality Team leaders and other teams to reduce internal and external quality failures
- Assists in coordinating the daily operation and processes involved in inventory storage management, inspection / SPC (FAI, work instructions, etc.), nonconforming material reviews, metrology, and gauge control

Engineering Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or equivalent with 5 years’ experience requiredExperience in using EQMS or ERP systems to track and report on quality metrics requiredExperience with Syteline ERP a plusCoursework in Design for Manufacturability and Quality Assurance a plusCertification in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing training a plusExperience applying AS9100 requirements (auditing) to processes a plusJob Detail :
