Certifications (Implied / Strongly Beneficial) Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) Valuable if the role leans more into architectural decisions. Microsoft Certified : DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) Since CI / CD and DevOps pipelines are key in the job description. Training / Skills Development Areas Frontend Development : React or equivalent frameworks. Backend Development : Python, C#, Java, Node.js. Modern Dev Practices : CI / CD, Git-based workflows, cloud security patterns. AI Tools : Familiarity with AI-assisted coding (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor). Industry or Functional Experience Necessary for Success Cloud-Native Development : Strong experience developing in Azure cloud services (App Services, Azure Functions, API Management (APIM), Azure SQL, Azure DevOps pipelines). Enterprise Application Delivery : Exposure to large-scale, enterprise-grade applications that require integration, security, and scalability. Need for Prior Leadership Experience Influence Without Authority : The role requires leadership qualities in terms of challenging requirements, shaping solutions, and making architectural contributions. Facilitating alignment between tech teams and business users. Key expectation : Candidates must be able to lead conversations and decisions (thought leadership) even if they don't manage people. Challenges Candidates Should Have Already Overcome Complex Problem-Solving Under Constraints : Delivered impactful solutions in environments with tight deadlines, multiple stakeholders, and limited clarity. Cloud Adoption & Modernization : Worked through migrating on-prem systems to cloud-native solutions, dealing with APIs, security, and scalability. Security and Governance Mindset : Navigated enterprise compliance and security constraints while still delivering usable applications. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Learned how to collaborate effectively with non-technical teams (Finance, Ops, etc.) and influence decision-making. Market- or Environment-Related Knowledge Enterprise Digital Transformation : Understanding why organizations are moving to the cloud and how technology drives business outcomes (cost savings, automation, customer experience). AI and Automation Impact : Familiarity with the emergence of AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) and their effect on productivity. Security and Compliance Environment : Awareness of data privacy laws, zero-trust architectures, and regulatory pressures that influence solution design and implementation. Organization-Specific Knowledge Existing System Landscape : Knowledge of legacy systems, integration points, and internal APIs that their solutions will interact with. Enterprise Standards & Governance : Internal policies on security, compliance, CI / CD pipelines, coding standards, and architectural patterns. Stakeholder Priorities : Understanding what business value looks like in this organization-what's most important to leadership (speed, cost, risk reduction, user experience). Technical or Professional Knowledge Full-Stack Development : Strong skills in React (or Angular / Vue), JavaScript / TypeScript, and building scalable user experiences. Experience with Python (primary per description), plus knowledge of C#, Java, or Node.js. Designing and optimizing RESTful APIs and integrating with enterprise services. Architecture and Design Principles : Knowledge of modular, reusable, and extensible architecture. Comfort making trade-offs between speed, cost, and technical debt. Soft / Professional Skills : Ability to translate vague business requirements into actionable technical solutions. Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
Job Tile : Software Developer with strong Node JS experience
Onsite : Hybrid 2-3 days onsite in Wilmington, MA
Qualifications :
- Formal Education (Explicit Requirement)
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical discipline.
Microsoft Certified : Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) Focuses on developing for Azure.
Azure Cloud-Native Services : App Services, Functions, APIM, ADF, Key Vault, Azure SQL.
Full-Stack Development (Cloud Context) : Minimum 3+ years of experience working across both front-end (React / Angular / Vue) and back-end (Python, C#, Java, Node.js) layers.
Formal Leadership : Not required. This is an individual contributor role.
Bridging Ambiguous Requirements : Successfully turned unclear or shifting business requirements into solid technical designs.
Cloud Computing Trends : Knowledge of cloud-native architecture patterns (serverless, event-driven, microservices). Awareness of the competitive landscape between Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Enterprise Business Processes : How the company operates across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, etc., to align solutions with the actual flow of work.
Cloud & DevOps : Expertise with Microsoft Azure services (Azure App Services, Functions, API Management (APIM), Data Factory (ADF), Key Vault, Azure SQL). Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, Git-based workflows, and CI / CD best practices.
