Overview

Mullen Coughlin is a highly successful, fast growing multi-country niche law firm focused exclusively on counseling organizations in the context of data privacy, including incident response, regulatory investigations, single-plaintiff and class action litigation, and compliance. This role is based at the firm\'s headquarters in Devon, PA and offers a hybrid work arrangement : remote work for up to 3 days a week once proficiency is demonstrated.

Position

Advisory Compliance Attorney

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel to organizations on compliance with data privacy, data security, and consumer protection laws and regulations.
  • Assist with incident response readiness assessments and the development of incident response plans.
  • Conduct tabletop exercises and develop legal and regulatory impact assessments.
  • Develop state, federal, and international data privacy and data security compliance programs.
  • Develop vendor management programs and data privacy and data security policies and procedures.
  • Perform privileged security assessments and collaborate with incident response and regulatory investigation / litigation practice groups on discreet matters as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 8 years of legal experience.
  • Membership in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar.
  • Curiosity to learn more about cybersecurity law; enthusiasm and team-oriented attitude.
  • Experience in data privacy compliance and / or incident response is a plus.
  • Exceptional legal research, analytical, writing, communication, and attention to detail; ability to manage own caseload and work independently.
