Position : Estimator - Commercial Construction

Location : Pelham, AL

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000 per year

United Trades of America, is seeking a highly skilled Estimator with a proven track record in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will be proficient in multiple estimating software platforms, with a strong ability to perform detailed takeoffs and develop budgets for design-build projects. Key Responsibilities :

Perform detailed takeoffs from commercial construction prints to develop accurate cost estimates.

Develop budgets for design-build projects with minimal design input, working collaboratively with sales and other team members.

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing for bids and budgets.

Review and discuss estimates and bids with ownership before submission.

Integrate estimates into Procore or other project management software for use in budgeting and forecasting.

Digitize handwritten estimates into electronic formats when needed.

Qualifications :

Experience : Demonstrated success as an estimator in commercial construction; ability to work independently with minimal training.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in construction estimating software ( Procore experience is a major plus ).

Strong ability to interpret construction prints and perform takeoffs.

Capable of budgeting projects without prints (project range : $1M - $8M).

Soft Skills :

Exceptional critical thinking and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

Self-motivated, with effective time management in a flexible, fast-paced environment.

Work Environment :

Office-based role with typical hours of 8 AM to 4 PM , offering flexibility for personal needs or extended hours as necessary.
