Pay : $38,000-$42,000 / yr
The Lark Center is a neurodiversity-affirming, multidisciplinary therapy clinic in the heart of downtown Norwood, MA. We have an immediate need for a compassionate, creative, and flexible speech therapist to work primarily with our teen and young adult clients. We look forward to adding your expertise in the areas of social pragmatics and executive function supports, as well as your ability to supervise interns, coach parents, and consult with the entire team. Ideal schedule will be Monday through Thursday, 1 : 30-6 : 30pm.
- Responsibilities :
- Deliver high quality speech and language therapy in individual, small group, and program sessions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary intakes, evaluations and re-evaluations using a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach.
- Provide comprehensive supervision to fieldwork students, clinical interns, and other SLPs.
- Document sessions clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner using our EMR software.
- Effectively manage appointments and scheduling using our EMR software.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with families and other providers.
- Ensure clients' confidentiality, dignity, and safety at all times.
- Maintain professional licensure and adhere to all professional practice standards.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, supervisory meetings, and trainings.
- Carry professional liability insurance. \
- Recommended, but not required.
- Qualifications :
- Master's degree from an accredited speech language pathology program, and current MA licensure.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a pediatric setting.
- At least 1 year of experience providing supervision to graduate level clinical interns.
- Ability to work independently and with multi- / trans-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with neurodivergent children and teens.
- Experience running groups and interest in ND-affirming social pragmatic support.
- Deep understanding of gestalt language processing and total communication approaches.
- Experience with (or willingness to learn) feeding therapy, AAC, and sensory-based interventions!
- Prior experience in private practice is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records is a plus.
- Ability to walk, run, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs as necessary to maintain client safety.
