Your Role as an Elementary Teacher

Collaborate with Team Members : Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to design and implement appropriate services for students.

Classroom Leadership : Provide guidance, leadership, and direction within the classroom.

Teach Multiple Subjects : May be responsible for teaching multiple subject areas, depending on the needs of the students.

Maintain Student Confidentiality : Ensure student confidentiality by adhering to agency policy, FERPA, HIPAA privacy regulations, and confidentiality standards.

Track Student Progress : Monitor and assess student development, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to support student success.

Manage Challenging Behaviors : Implement behavior support plans and manage challenging behaviors as needed.

Support Collaborative Environment : Work closely with paraprofessionals, support staff, and parents to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Advocate for Students : Ensure compliance with educational laws and advocate for the rights and needs of students with disabilities.

Create Positive Learning Space : Build a positive, engaging classroom environment where every student feels supported and can thrive

Required Qualifications

Must hold an active PA teaching certification, such as a Private Academic Certificate, or a Pennsylvania Instructional Certification.

Must have authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.
