Job description

Are you an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon looking for a rewarding locum tenens opportunity? A healthcare facility near Sebring, Florida, is seeking a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide essential care in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

Position Highlights :

  • Start Date : January 6, 2025
  • Duration : Ongoing
  • Schedule :

Clinical hours plus call coverage

  • Includes holiday coverage for major U.S. holidays
  • Patient Load :

    • 35 patients per shift

  • 1020 beds in the department
  • Assigned patient rounding

    • Practice Details :

  • Setting : Inpatient only
  • Call Details :

    • Call response time : 15 minutes

  • Phone consults : Approximately 2 per day
  • Call-back rate : 60%
  • Specialty Skills Required :

    • Arthroscopy

  • Total joint replacement (hip and knee)
  • Joint revision and repair
  • Shoulder, hand, and tendon release / repair procedures
  • Spine procedures (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)

    • Qualifications :

  • Board Certification : Required in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Fellowship training preferred but not mandatory
  • Active medical license for Florida
  • Minimum 30-day credentialing timeframe

    • Support and Resources :

  • Strong support staff, including registered nurses, medical assistants, and advanced practice providers
  • EMR systems : Cerner and Athena

    • Additional Information :

  • Travel and lodging covered by the vendor
  • No requirement to supervise residents or teaching responsibilities
  • Trauma and pediatrics levels : N / A
