Position Summary

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a vital role in cultivating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. You will serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders, helping navigate workplace challenges, drive engagement, and support meaningful transitions. This role blends strategic HR support with direct relationship building — ideal for someone who thrives on empathy, problem-solving, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers and supervisors to address employee relations issues with fairness, consistency, and alignment to Adelante's values.
  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns and complaints with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support coaching, corrective action, and performance management processes
  • Facilitate employee feedback initiatives including exit interviews, stay interviews, and pulse surveys.
  • Manage engagement and recognition programs that celebrate contributions and foster retention.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on benefits and total rewards, including open enrollment, qualifying events, ADA, FMLA, and leave of absence processes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance employee experience.
  • Travel periodically to clinic sites across the Valley to support onsite engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Labor Studies, Business, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations, engagement, and benefits
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, FSLA, etc.)
  • Experience conducting investigations and resolving workplace concerns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to build trust across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (Paycom, ADP, UKG / Kronos, Workday, etc.)
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • What We Offer

  • A values-driven culture rooted in compassion, excellence, and respect.
  • Opportunities for professional development and internal growth
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement.
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others — every single day.
