The Lee Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Store Room Clerk to support inventory and maintenance operations at one of our valued manufacturing clients in Suffolk, VA. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, working with parts and systems, and supporting plant operations in a fast-paced environment. Position: Storeroom Clerk
Pay: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Work Week: 36 to 40 hours
Employment Type: Temp

Job Overview

As a Store Room Clerk, you will help organize, stock, and maintain the parts storeroom that supports plant equipment and facility maintenance. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate inventory levels, proper documentation, and efficient access to parts needed for daily operations. Attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities
Stock, restock, and organize inventory parts within the storeroom
Help maintain accurate inventory levels of on-site repair and maintenance parts
Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to track parts when applicable
File and maintain paperwork related to parts and inventory
Assist with identifying new parts and entering information into automated reorder systems
Support special projects related to organizing and streamlining the parts system
Provide updated MSDS sheets as needed
Clean and maintain the work area
Comply with all plant safety rules and policies
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
High school diploma required; technical trade school certification is a plus
Previous experience in maintenance or inventory within a manufacturing environment preferred
Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills
Clear verbal communication skills
Knowledge of maintenance and engineering terminology such as mechanical, electrical, and pneumatics preferred
Ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email for reports and communication
Ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and problem-solve effectively
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Will work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment
Must comply with all Federal, State, Corporate, Warehouse, and Food Safety standards including HACCP, GMP, SQF, and FDA guidelines
