Pay Range : $24–43 / hr.
Travel : Up to 85% (Domestic and International)

Overview :
The Service Technician is a skilled, hands-on professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machinery and supporting equipment. This role requires both mechanical and electrical aptitude, precision in troubleshooting complex systems, and a readiness to travel for customer support. The ideal candidate can read and interpret schematics, align multi-axis machinery, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring customer satisfaction through technical excellence and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, maintain, and repair CNC machine tools and related systems
- Interpret and apply electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Troubleshoot servo-driven electrical and mechanical systems
- Calibrate geometry and perform precision alignment using lasers and measuring instruments
- Perform diagnostics on spindles, tool changers, and axis drive systems
- Execute acceptance testing and customer sign-off procedures
- Train customers and junior service engineers on machine operations and maintenance
- Document service actions, parts used, and customer interactions
- Provide feedback to engineering and management on design and performance improvements
- Travel to client sites across the U.S. and internationally as needed
Qualifications :
4+ years of experience in CNC machine tool service or related industrial equipmentStrong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principlesProficiency in reading blueprints and wiring diagramsSkilled in the use of hand tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic softwareExperience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines and control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain preferred)Strong communication and customer-service orientationWillingness to travel extensively and work independentlyHigh school diploma or technical certificate required; associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or similar preferred.
